WRITTEN BY EXPERTS IN CHILD PSYCHOLOGY
Mona was very upset because her kindergarten friend didn’t invite her at her house on a play date. She began to think negatively about herself, believing that no one liked her and that she didn’t belong to the group she wanted to be in. She started questioning her worth and right to belong and she needed help from adults to regain self-love and self-worth and sense of belonging.
Such situations are part of growing up – children sometimes feel excluded, unloved or undervalued. The picture book “I am worth it and know that others love me” helps children to recognize and accept their own emotions, develop a positive self-image and learn how to deal with feelings of rejection.
The story will speak to children who sometimes feel that they are not important enough, have a hard time coping with changes in friendships, doubt their own worth, feel insecure in their relationships with others, or worry about being accepted. It will help them build a positive self-image, strengthen their sense of belonging and learn that their value doesn’t depend on the opinion of others.
Through a simple story children will:
– understand feelings of sadness and insecurity in relationships with peers
– develop a positive self-image and self-worth
– recognize a sense of belonging and the importance of secure relationships
– strengthen resistance to social challenges and changes in friendships
This picture book is not just a story – it is a practical tool to help adults understand child’s emotional and social challenges. At the end of the book there is an additional educational section with useful guidelines written by experts in child psychology. This section gives support to adults who want to support their children in challenging situations.
