At four months, babies can see almost all colors as well as adults and show a strong interest in faces and emotions. It turns out that children show a “face preference” immediately after birth, looking longer at images that have facial features. This picture book combines a fascination with faces with learning about people from Croatian culture, helping to build cultural identity and emotional intelligence.
This series consists of three board books for babies, designed based on scientific knowledge about early child development. They are intended to be used from the very first day of life, with content and visual elements adapted to the stages of a baby’s visual, brain, and communication development.
The books were created by a team of authors in collaboration with child development professionals, including an ophthalmologist, speech therapist, and neuropediatrician. Through simple images, strong contrasts, and repetitive patterns, they help stimulate visual development, focus, and concentration, while supporting the formation of new neural connections in the brain.
